A delightful choice for a small tree. Delicate pendulous white bell-shaped flowers are held in clusters of 3 to 5 hanging from the branches. The flowers are occasionally tinged with pink.
The flowers are followed by pale green, pear-shaped, 4-winged fruits.
Halesia like a moist, well drained soil in a sunny to dappled shaded position. Halesia has a slightly drooping / weeping habit and can reach around 800cm in height and spread.
One tree that deserves to be used more often.
