Deliveries and Collections

Supplying top-quality plants and sundries and delivering them to your site is part of our delivery service. Our transport department and our dedicated drivers offer first-class service ensuring all plants arrive in excellent condition perfect for you and your client.

Our transport department are FORS Silver accredited and all of our liveried vehicles are ULEZ compliant. As part of our FORS Silver accreditation, delivery routes are planned with an emphasis on putting the environment first.

Deliveries are offered five days a week with weekends possible by arrangement only. Our delivery service is speedy, hassle-free, reliable, and friendly.

All deliveries are kerbside, so please make sure you have staff on site to help unload when our friendly drivers arrive. To help plan our deliveries, we ask that you let us know of any access or time restrictions.

 

Delivery Charges

Please note all delivery prices are based on postcode and per drop which is automatically calculated in the check-out stage of the Trade Zone. If the delivery postcode is not shown, please contact us to obtain a delivery price. Note that we can only deliver to UK addresses.

Forklift Hire Service

For any deliveries that require a forklift, Provender Nurseries can offer a forklift hire service that provides the use of the forklift and trained driver on a per-hour basis:

  • £40.00 for one hour (minimum booking 1 hour)
  • £80.00 per hour after the initial first hour

The forklift hire service will need to be pre-booked and is not offered on a pro-rata basis. It is in addition to the standard delivery charge and is available only for the movement of Provender Nurseries’ products on your site. Please note that prices shown are ex-VAT.

Orders including all standard deliveries and the new forklift hire service are subject to Provender Nurseries’ Terms & Conditions.

Collections

Your orders can be collected from our dedicated collection service. Please let your sales team member know whether you would like your order collated ready for you to collect at the beginning of your order journey. We will do the rest. We will contact you when your order is ready for collection.

Please note, if you wish to change an existing order to a collection, we will need two days’ notice to facilitate.

Q. Is Provender Nurseries open to the public?
A. Provender Nurseries is strictly trade only.
 
Q. Do I qualify for a trade account?
A. Provender Nurseries is a wholesale supplier to commercial and domestic landscapers, garden designers, landscape architects, property developers, farming, community gardens, local authorities, sports clubs, and other sectors of the horticultural industry. Please note we can only accept and process applications from businesses within these sectors. You can apply for a trade account here.
 
Q. How do I see trade prices on your website?
A. Sign into our Trade Zone to see all of our stock at trade prices.
 
Q. Does Provender Nurseries have a minimum order value?
A. Online sales and quoted sales have a minimum order value of £300.00 + VAT. Our cash and carry is open from 7 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am to 12 pm on Saturdays and has no minimum order.
 
Q. How do I submit a quote?
A. Our dedicated quoted sales team are on hand to answer any quoting queries. Our quoting team have a wealth of industry knowledge and are able to quote and advise on your planting lists no matter how large or small. Q. How long are quotes valid for?
A. Quotes are valid for 30 days.  If a quote is accepted after the 30 days, the quote will have to be reviewed and requoted
 
Q. How do I place an order? 
A. You can place an order by phone, by email, online via the Trade Zone, or by visiting our well-stocked 18-acre cash and carry.
 
Q. When will my order be ready?
A. It takes time to collate an order due to our stringent quality checks and goods coming in from suppliers. Generally speaking:
  • Online orders: 5 working days to collate from payment date
  • Quoted orders: Depending on the size of the order, between 5 working days to a month
  • Collection: A day from payment date
  • Please note in busy periods, longer lead times may apply

 

Q. Can I collect my order?
A. Orders can be collected once arranged in advance for Monday to Saturday.  Once your order is ready for collection a member of the sales team will let you know.  Our collection team will contact you to book in a collection date and take payment. Please allow one working day from payment for collection to be ready.
 
Q. How long can an order be stored in the order bay for? 
A. Orders will be held in the order bay for 4 weeks from the date of order completion.  
 
Q.  Do you charge a holding fee after that period of time? 
Yes.  Our holding fee after 4 weeks from order completion date is 10% of the order value per month. 
 
Q. What happens if I cancel my order that has been collated?
A. Due to staff costs a charge of 50% restocking fee will be implemented. Please check our Terms & Conditions
 
Q. Does Provender Nurseries have any vacancies?

Q. Do Provender Nurseries guarantee their plants?
A. We do not offer a guarantee for our plants. Our plants are checked at each stage of their journey into and out of Provender Nurseries as part of our Plant Healthy certification scheme.
 
Q. What is Provender Nurseries Biosecurity policy
A. Biosecurity is at the centre of everything we do.  You can check our Biosecurity policy here.
 
Q. Where are you located?
A. Our cash and carry is conveniently located just off junction 3 of the M25 with easy access to the M20, A2, and London.  Provender Nurseries is outside of the ULEZ zone.

Q. What time will my delivery be with me?  
A. We are unable to give specific times for deliveries due to road and traffic conditions which are beyond our control.

Q. Do you offer a mail order service?
A. We do not offer mail order by post. In certain circumstances, we can organise deliveries by pallet via exterior specialist delivery companies; however, please bear in mind these companies usually have height and weight restrictions. Provender Nurseries bear no responsibility for any damage caused in transit with exterior specialist delivery companies.
