Sales Admin Assistant (Full-Time)

At Provender Nurseries, we don't just supply plants - we help shape landscapes across the UK. As one of the country's leading wholesale nurseries, we've built our reputation on quality, value, and convenience, delivering a trusted, specialist service to horticultural professionals for over 21 years.

Driven by a passion for plants and people, we bring expertise and products together to support our clients’ success. In order to keep the sales team operating effectively, we are recruiting for a Sales Admin Assistant to join our busy and supportive Sales team. If you are organised, proactive, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing their knowledge of the operational side of sales while supporting a dynamic team.

You will play a key role in coordinating sales support activities, particularly for customers requiring direct quotes or additional assistance with online orders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing and amending customer orders and scheduling and coordinating delivery slots
  • Handling incoming calls professionally and directing enquiries appropriately; managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Maintaining filing systems and general office organisation
  • Printing and processing online orders, pick sheets, and pick lists
  • Creating purchase orders and order fulfilment documentation and on occasion liaising with customers to arrange and process payments

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office programmes
  • Confident, polite, and professional in communication
  • Well organised, proactive, and self-motivated; calm under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Comfortable learning new IT systems and software
  • Previous experience in an office environment is essential

Horticultural knowledge or experience would be advantageous but is not required—however, an interest in plants would be beneficial. You should however be confident communicating with customers, suppliers, and colleagues via phone, email, and in person.

Salary

£29,500 - £32,500 per annum (dependent on experience and meeting essential criteria)

Benefits

  • Staff discount (after probationary period)
  • Private healthcare (including EAP)
  • Free on-site parking
  • Unlimited tea and coffee

If you are looking to build your career in a supportive and fast-paced horticultural sales environment, we encourage you to apply. Please contact us via email at careers@provendernurseries.co.uk for more information and to submit your CV along with a bit about why you love plants so much!

Closing date for applications is 30th April 2026

Applicants must possess the necessary UK work visa or hold the equivalent right to work in the UK without requiring employer sponsorship.
