Japanese Barberry A new introduction with lovely vibrant purple red leaves contrasting well with the yellow edge. Pale pink flowers are borne in the summer and followed by bright crimson berries in the autumn. The coloured foliage turns stunning bright crimson in the autumn. Forms a compact, rounded dome shaped shrub. A low maintenance shrub that holds its leaf colour well throughout the summer. Good for coastal areas or low hedges. Prefers sun to partial shade. The foliage and berry colour are more pronounced in a sunny spot. Height 75cm and spread 125cm, plant in free-draining soil in full sun or light shade. Moist but well?drainedTolerates any soil, but leaf colour will be best on poor soil in full sun
