Box Tree Moths

Box Tree Moths

With the long anticipated warmer weather comes pests.  In particular, the Box Tree Moth which becomes more active in the warmer weather and starts flying around looking for a mate.   The Box Tree Moth mates and lays eggs which hatch to become the dreaded Box Tree Caterpillar that munches its way through a Buxus plant in a matter of hours.

Using a Box Tree Moth Trap will stop that male moth in its tracks and prevent the mating and egg laying from taking place.  The traps contain a pheromone that the male Box Tree Moth finds irresistible and once inside the trap, they cannot escape.

The pheromones stay active for a minimum of 6 weeks.  Refills are available.
