Now For Something A Little Different

For TREEFEST 2019 we are also celebrating those trees that are a little different

How often when selecting trees for projects have you yearned for something a little different?  Something that is not the norm? We have some excellent choices that are not always widely available – thus making Provender Nurseries the most diverse wholesale supply nursery we know!

Chitalpa taskentensis ‘Pink Dawn’

A great tree for an exotic look in full sun.  Scented pink foxglove-like flowers are produced between May-June and again in August-September. The flowers have deeper coloured veins in the throat making them attractive to bees.  The leaves are dark green, thin and pointed.  This exotic little number reaches a height of 5m and a spread of 3m making it an ideal choice for the smaller garden.  Hardier than it looks Chitalpa can tolerate down to -15 degrees C.
