The larger leaves of shirasawanum Acers make these stand out from the Acer crowd. The leaves of Acer shirasawanum ‘Moonrise’ are less cut, have rounded lobes and usually are brightly coloured. The leaves emerge bright red, change to acid yellow – green in summer and then turn red- orange in the autumn. The foliage colour on these is just amazing. Height and spread 1.5-2.5m.
