Acer palmtum dissectum ‘Emerald Lace’

Acer palmtum dissectum ‘Emerald Lace’

The finely cut foliage of Acer palmatum dissectum Emerald Lace is truly delicate and very tactile too.  The leaves are tiny and deeply dissected to look almost like delicate Victorian lace.  The foliage emerges vibrant lime green in the spring, age gradually over the summer to emerald green and finally bright red and orange in the autumn.  The stem is also a fabulous lime green colour.  A great all rounder.  This particular cultivar has pendulous branches with a soft rounded crown and lends itself well to many different planting situations – towards the back of a border, in a container or as a stand alone specimen plant.

Height x spread 4 x 4m.

This lovely Acer was awarded an RHS Award of Garden Merit and once seen it is easy to see why.
