Chinese Plumbago. This blue flowering small shrub is invaluable at this time of year for some late summer / early autumn colour. The foliage in the autumn takes on excellent russet red and orange colours often at the same time as the blue flowers. The flowers are a valuable source of nectar in the late summer for bees and butterflies. Plant in full sun in a mixed border of late flowering perennials.
