It is all about the colour and scent with Rosa x odorata Mutabilis. The buds are vivid orange in colour opening to reveal carmine flowers that change to rose then crimson over time.
As the flowers change over time and are produced from early summer to autumn, the plant has flowers of many different colours at any time.
Thornless stems and a lax, open habit create a bush up to around 1.8m in height.
