Skimmia are brilliant shrubs for winter interest.
The tight buds are held in panicles above the evergreen foliage and are a delight in the winter but all is yet to be revealed in the spring when the buds open to display lots of scented flowers. Ideal for borders and containers.
Skimmia require an ericaceous soil and a good feed after flowering to keep in tip top health.
