The results are in for the RHS tulip trials held at Wisley! The following tulips received the RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM) due to their stand-out performance during the trials:
- Tulipa 'Caribbean Parrot'
- Tulipa 'Rasta Parrot'
- Tulipa 'Black Parrot'
- Tulipa 'Cabanna'
- Tulipa 'Carnival de Nice'
- Tulipa 'Red Dress'
- Tulipa 'Black Hero'
- Tulipa 'Yellow Pompenette'
- Tulipa 'White Liberstar'
- Tulipa 'Crown of Dynasty'
RHS trials, held at Wisley for over a century, evaluate both new and existing plant varieties, comparing their form and performance. The following factors were considered when the tulips were being judged:
Overall appearance, flower impact, length of flowering period and weather and pest resistance.
