Yucca and Dasylirion for structure

In our display house on site you will find a fantastic array of Yucca and Dasylirion which are just perfect plant choices for our hot summers.

Both hail from dry arid areas with poor free draining soil, resulting in plants that are fully adapted to thriving and surviving in dry arid hot conditions.

Both choices have stiff upright leaves giving a bold silhouette that add structure and ooze appeal with a touch of the Mediterranean to any container or dry, sunny position. Both plants like a hot spot and are drought tolerant once established.

Dasylirion are members of the same plant family as Asparagus. The bold leaves are long and narrow in form and edged with tiny serrated teeth. The overall structure of the plants is almost a spherical ball of leaves once mature.

Yucca give a more upright look to the border. Once mature, huge tall flower spikes are produced with tubular bell shaped flowers. A real show-stopper.
