Vinca minor

Description: The small leaved periwinkle makes an excellent evergreen gound cover plant. Easy to grow and quickly covers an area suppressing weeds without being so invasive as the large leaved V. major. Fresh dark green leaves and mass of purplish blue fowers in late spring to summer.

Climate/Position: Sun or shade.

Height/Spread: 20 cm x 150cm.

Soil Requirements: Any soil moist prefered but will tolerate dry.

Pruning: No pruning required but trimming or cutting back hard of excess creeping shoots may be done from autumn to early spring.
