Santolina chamaecyparissus

Santolina chamaecyparissus

Description: Soft silvery leaves which form a low spreading mound.  In summer the plant is smothered with bright yellow button flowers on long stalks.  The feathery foliage is aromatic to the touch and forms a neat plant.

Uses: Good in dry gardens, in hot an mediterranean style gardens, with silver or purple plants and in aromatic gardens.

Climate/Position: Full sun  needed as the silvery leaves suggest.
