Description: An unusual plant both for its leaf and overall shape. Long sword-shaped, coarsely toothed, rigid, dark brown leaves with a red midrib are held in a downward pointing fashion creating a most unusual look. The overall plant can look like a rocket!Mature specimens develop rounded heads and the leaves become more leathery. Small greenish white flowers are produced in late summer – autumn.

Climate / Position: Full sun or partial shade.

Height / Spread: Height up to 10m. Spread up to 2m.

Soil Requirements: Fertile well drained soil.

Pruning : None required.

Special Requirements: Requires a warm sheltered site.
