Pachysandra terminalis

Pachysandra terminalis

Description: A very useful low growing, spreading evergreen plant which tolerates full shade and is great as ground cover where it may be difficult to get other plants to grow.

The rich dark green leaves are on short shoots and small cream terminal (hence the name) flower spikes appear in April.

One of the best low growing evergreens for shade and mass planting.

Climate/Position: Partail and full shade.

Height/Spread: 30cm x 45cm.

Soil Requirements: Any soil.

Pruning: No maintenance required.

Special Requirements: Plant 30-45 cm apart for effective ground cover. Mature plants can be divided in March and the additional plants can then be used to fill in any gaps in the ground cover.
