Molinia caerulea 'Edith Dudszus

Description: A clump forming grass with fresh leaves throughout summer and the plant has a neat habit.  Purple coloured grass flower heads in panicles on reddish stems. create interest in mid to late summer.

Uses: Good in range of situations including city gardens, prairie planting and wildlife areas as well as general border planting.

Climate/Position: Prefers a sunny position and good with lower water levels so drought tolerant.

Height/Spread: 80cm x 50cm so small compact habit.

Soil Requirements: Good in range of soils from acid to alkaline (low or high pH) Well draining soil preferred.

Pruning: Cut back in late winter to keep plant tidy. 

Special Requirements: Dryer soils.

Additional Interest:  Clumps can be divided in spring.
