Description: A shrub not greatly used but can provide excellent late colour to the border and can also be used for its weeping habit. Long arching stems covered in green leaflets through summer make it useful for growing on banks, trailing over a wall or left to grow flat and used as a ground cover plant. In September it will be one of the last shrubs of the year to flower as the mass of rich pink pea like flowers cloth the arching stems.
Uses: Ground cover, over walls and as a weeping shrub
Climate/Position: Full sun
Height/Spread: 2 x 3 metres spreading habit.
Soil Requirements: Fertile well drained soil
Pruning: Prune in spring if required for shaping.
Additional Interest: Part of the pea or legume family.
