Gardenia jasminoides 'Kleim's Hardy'

Description: A hardy for of the exotically scented gardenia. A dwarf, low mound forming shrub with glossy dark green foliage. Single white star-shaped flowers with a lovely strong fragrance are produced in early summer.

Best planted in low borders, along walkways or pots where its fragrance can be enjoyed.

Climate/ Position: Does best in dappled shade in a protected site.

Height / Spread: Slow growing eventually reaching 80cm - 1m after several years.

Soil Requirements: Moist, well drained soil.

Pruning: None needed.

Special Requirements: Requires ericaceous soil. Prefers rainwater. Mulch freely in autumn.

'Kleim's Hardy' is a very hardy variety that can withstand temperatures down to -10C and below. protect from harsh winds.
