Fagus sylvatica 'Dawyck Gold'

Description: A compact columnar golden leaved deciduous form of our native Beech tree. Can be used in areas with limited space where a beech tree is not normally possible as it forms an erect flame shaped tree when mature. The bright yellow foliage turns green in late summer. Can take 20-50 years to reach maturity.

Plant with native bluebells for a stunning display.

Climate / Position: Full sun or partial shade.

Height / Spread: Height 15m. Spread 8m.

Soil Requirements: Tolerate most soils including chalk but avoid waterlogged soil.

Pruning : None required.

Special Requirements: Do not plant in waterlogged soils.
