Epimedium x youngianum 'Roseum'

Description: A deciduous Epimedium with soft pink tinted leaves appearing in spring just as the purplish pink delicate flowers emerge on stems. The flowers have pretty markings of darker purple.  A compact bushy habit which in summer forms a green carpet so ideal for ground cover.

Climate/Position: Partial shade for this Epimedium

Height/Spread: 25cm height

Soil Requirements: Humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil but will tolerate drought when well established.

Pruning: As this is a deciduous form then the leaf remains can be removed in late autumn to tidy for winter.

Special Requirements: Lift and divide large clumps in autumn

Additional Interest: This is a hybrid of E. diphyllum × E. Grandiflorum
