Dryopteris filix-mas 'Crispa Cristata'
Description: A distinctive fern with soft green fronds from a central crown and each frond has curly twisted margins giving an unusual and attractive look.
Uses: Ideal for a shaded location, in woodland gardens or by water. Good with other ferns to give a contast to leaf shapes and shades of green.
Climate/Position: Shade prefered but will tolerate some sun if the soil remains moist.
Height/Spread: 50 -80 cm x 50cm
Soil Requirements: Moist soils, humus rich to retain moisture
Pruning: Cut back old fronds in winter so that the shoots unfurling in spring can be seen.
