Diervilla sessilifolia 'Cool Splash'
Description:
A recent introduction from the USA this is the first variegated form of Diervilla. The branched shrub has white-edged, green foliage which holds its colour well and is good for lightening partially shaded areas.
In early summer subtle panicles of tiny yellow trumpet-shaped flowers are produced along the branches which attract butterflies.
Ideal for planting in wilder areas where it can allowed to spread, or in woodland gardens as an under-storey plant.
