Description: A deciduous shrub which in summer may be overlooked but in autumn the eye-catching metallic purple berries give a spectacular show creating much interest. Plant in groups for best show of berries. Foliage is bronze when young, green in summer and bronze in the autumn with small pale pink insignificant flowers in midsummer. A fabulous plant for autumn or winter interest gardens.

Climate / Position: Sun or dappled shade.

Height / Spread: Height 3m, spread 2.5m.

Soil Requirements: Fertile well drained soil. Can take some clay.

Pruning: Prune hard in spring when the buds begin to swell to ensure a good display of berries in autumn.
