Berberis thunbergii ‘Admiration’

Description: A new introduction with lovely vibrant purple red leaves contrasting well with the yellow edge. Pale pink flowers are borne in the summer and followed by bright crimson berries in the autumn. The coloured foliage turns stunning bright crimson in the autumn. Forms a compact, rounded dome shaped shrub.

A low maintenance shrub that holds its leaf colour well throughout the summer. Good for coastal areas or low hedges.

Climate / Position: Sun to partial shade. The foliage and berry colour is more pronounced in a sunny spot.

Height / Spread: Height 75cm to 125cm.

Soil Requirements: Tolerant of any soil.

Pruning: Little or no pruning required.
