Anemone coronaria De Caen Group

Description: Richly coloured spring flowers in shades of red, blue-violet and white appear from late spring. The attractive deeply divided fern like foliage makes a fitting background underneath the large showy flowers. 

Uses:  Good in a rockery or the front of a border but do ensure the area remains uncultivated after the flowers have disaperared in summer so that the plants can multipy into groups for an increased disply rather than be destroyed.

Climate/Position: Full sun in a sheltered site.

Height/Spread:  25cm x 20cm

Soil Requirements:   Well drained light, sandy soil

Pruning: 

Special Requirements:  The flowers and foliage will die down after flowering.  Leave the area undisterbed ant the knobly bulb like tubers will remain dormant until the following spring.
