How to order
Please note Provender Nurseries is a trade only nursery. All customers must be registered for a trade account.
Cash and Carry
Provender Nurseries is a wholesale trade only outlet - simply come in, select what you want, pay and go!
With a wide, diverse range of plants including trees, herbaceous, shrubs, hedging, specimen plants, bamboos, fruit, aquatics, herbs and alpines, Provender Nurseries are well stocked all year round. We also stock a wide range of landscaping kit products such as aggregates, compost, bark, soil, chemicals, weedkillers, fertilisers, tools, hardware and more (see our product categories page for more details).
Reserving plants and products on site
Plants and products can be selected, reserved and tagged onsite by a member of staff or yourself. We can then collect them and hold them in our secure order bay ready for collection or delivery at your convenience. (Reservations will be held for a maximum of 3 weeks).
How to place an order in the TRADE ZONE
Our online ordering system is designed with you in mind. It is quick and easy to use. Our online stocklist is updated on a regular basis throughout the day. You must be registered as a customer and in the TRADE ZONE before you can order online. To apply for a trade account click here.
Registered customers of Provender Nurseries can access our TRADE ZONE online ordering system. Simply log in using your customer reference. Once you have logged in you have access to our plant and products database. All prices shown include your trade discount and VAT.
Once you are in the TRADE ZONE all of our plants and products can be selected in a variety of ways.
Plants and products can be easily added to your basket by placing a quantity in the box on the right hand side. You can view your basket / order as you go along and change anything should you need to. Your settlement discount is shown at the bottom of the page. Should you order more than we have in stock of a certain item a 'stock level alert' will pop up on your order. Please note, this may affect your required collection / delivery date. When you are happy with your order click on 'Place Order'. You will then have an option for collection or delivery at the bottom of the page. A confirmation email will be sent to you.
All orders, whether for collection or delivery, will be collected by our collection team for you. We select the best plants on site and will contact you with any problems as we go along. Most orders take a minimum of 3 working days to collect together. This can take longer depending on time of year.
Online Stock list information
Our stocklist is updated on a regular basis and during the busy season can change quite drastically.
Our online stocklist shows only what we currently have here on site at Provender Nurseries. Our stocklist is by no means definitive and does not list any plants that have been reserved at suppliers or that are in transit. There is much more available than we can hold on site, so if you do not see what you require, please ask. If you do not see the quantities of a certain line in stock please call for price and availability.
How to use our online stocklist
Plants and products can be selected in a variety of ways. The menu on the left lists them by category (e.g. herbaceous, trees, shrubs etc.). The search box can be used to search by plant or product name or description (e.g. flower colour). If you are not sure of the spelling, you can type part of the word instead (i.e. the first three letters of the first name)
What does it mean?
Plants are categorised by herbaceous, trees, shrubs etc. Plants are then categorised by pot size, height, spec and tech.
Once you have found the plant you are looking for, a variety of information is displayed. This is an explanation of some of the terms used:

Phone, email or visit
Orders of plants or products to be reserved can be phoned or emailed through to a member of staff who will deal with your order from start to finish.
Plants / products can be tagged and reserved for collection / delivery at a later date.
All orders, whether for collection or delivery, placed online or by phone, will be collected by our collection team for you. We select the best plants on site and will contact you with any problems as we go along. Most orders take 3 working days to collect together. You will be contacted by a member of staff once your order is complete and invoiced in the normal way.
Of course, the best way to see the full range of plants and products that we stock is to pay us a visit. Our knowledgeable, helpful and friendly team will be on hand to help. We look forward to seeing you!
We are happy to quote on any planting plans or designs for you large or small, for immediate supply or a few months in advance. Please provide as much relevant information as possible when submitting a quote, e.g. planting time, height or particular shape such as multistem, standard - this will ensure that your enquiry is dealt with efficiently and promptly.
Quotes can be processed in a day or more; it is difficult to pinpoint how long it takes to process a quote until we see the actual list of plants and products. Once quotes are issued the prices are valid for 30 days from quotation. Plants or products listed on quotes may not actually be in stock and may need to be ordered in.
For Aggregates, compost, bark and soil quotes please state area to be covered and if delivery is required.
What if we haven't got what you want?
If you cannot see the plants or products that you require or if you require larger quantities than we have in stock please contact a member of staff and we will try and source them for you.
Project planning and large schemes
Provender Nurseries has an enthusiastic team with a wealth of information, skills and expertise at our fingertips. We can advise you on any aspect of your planting project including timelines, plant sourcing, delivery schedules and plant advice.
There are various ways that you can pay for plants and products bought from Provender Nurseries.
We take all major credit and debit cards including American Express.
Payment can be made directly to our account via BACS. If you would like our bank account details to make payment in this way, please call us on 01322 662315 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please state your order number when paying by BACS.
We can also take payment on credit. To apply for credit, you will need to fill out our credit application form which we can send to you in the post or which you can collect from the nursery. Please email email@example.com or call us on 01322 662315 to request a credit application form.
Please note that we do not accept cheques.
Note that for non-account customers, goods cannot be delivered or released until full payment is received.
Please note that Provender Nurseries do not offer mail order by post. In certain circumstances we can organise deliveries by pallet via exterior specialist delivery companies, however please bear in mind these companies usually have height and weight restrictions. Provender Nurseries bear no responsibility for any damage caused in transit with exterior specialist delivery companies.
