Origin: Saxifrage are found throughout temperate regions.
Description: Plants form a low cushion or mound of bright green leaves in pretty rosettes. In late spring the short stems are topped with up-facing bright white flowers which give a pretty show.
A good choice for a partially shaded rock garden, wall garden or scree or alpine troughs as well as containers.
Climate/Position: Requires a cool, moist location. Dislikes drought and hot humid summer weather.
Height/Spread: 30 cm x 30 cm and spreading
Soil Requirements: Must be free draining soils
Pruning: Trim lightly after blooming to remove the flower stems
Special Requirements: If plant outgrows its site then reduce clump in late spring after flowering.
