3 Peaks Extreme Challenge

A group of 18 mad BALI members are taking part in the Extreme Three Peaks Challenge in order to raise money for Perennial, Gardeners’ Royal Benevolent Society.  This challenge will see us hiking to the top of Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Mt Snowdon (1085m) and just to make the challenge even more fun we will be cycling from peak to peak!! Society of Garden Designers Spring Conference

Wyevale East Nurseries and Greenline Plants were delighted to jointly sponsor the Society of Garden Designsre Spring Conference on Saturday 28th April. The theme of the day was 'Beyond Borders' and looked 'Right Plants = Right Place = Good Plant Neighbours = Great Planting'. The speakers included Tom Stuart Smith with Cleve West chairing the day. BALI Sparsholt College Employment Day

Wyevale East Nurseries attended the BALI Employment day at Sparsholt College in Hampshire yesterday, 31st January 2012.  Richard McKenna gave a an inspirational talk to the next generation of designers, landscapers and gardeners.  The employment day was also attended by 4 other employers in the horticultural industry including large landscape firms and designers.   The day was chaired by Richard Gardinar, past chariman of BALI who was enthsuiastic at promoting the horticultural industry as a whole.  The students were very enthusiastic in the Questions and Answers session at the end of the day. ...(more info and photos)

Seminar Day 2009 - Adapting to change

Wyevale East Nurseries, Landscape Stone, East Horticulture and Sailshade (the four businesses at The Landscape Centre) hosted their third seminar on 17th June at their site in Swanley, Kent. The day was a great success with over 160 delegates enjoying presentations by some wonderful speakers. With the theme of 'adapting to change' Business Coach Jo Stickings gave a great presentation about the ways to improve your business by adapting to the changes and challenges the current climate throws at us. Gardeners World's Matthew Biggs went down a storm with his presentation 'The Pleasure Principal' and APL's Jason Lock was very informative....(more info)

Seminar Day 2008 - Gardens are not made by sitting in the shade

Wyevale East Nurseries and The Landscape Centre hosted their second seminar on 18th June at their site in Swanley, Kent. The day was a huge success with over 190 delegates enjoying presentations by three key speakers plus two short talks. Speakers Dan Luscombe from Bedgebury Pinetum, Matt James, garden designer and TV's City Gardener and 11 times Chelsea award winner Julian Dowle wowed the crowd with their interesting and informative presentations. Julian also treated the guests to a 'pruning master class' which was very well received. There were 18 exhibitors at the event, many of whom reported they had generated some great new business...(more info)

Seminar Day 2007 - Innovation - the key to creation

Wyevale East Nurseries and The Landscape Centre in Swanley, Kent, recently hosted a seminar day with the theme of 'innovation, the key to creation'.
